  • Beskrivelse: The film by Ernst Hirsch, some of which is in color, dates from 1958 and shows the Gauklerfest at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. The motto of the legendary carnival festivities that year was "In Babylonia". Equipment and actions, such as theatrical productions, had the character of a Gesamtkunstwerk.
    This film was digitized as part of the model project "Sicherung des audiovisuellen Erbes in Sachsen" (Securing Audiovisual Heritage in Saxony) of the Film Association of Saxony (2018) in cooperation with: Hirsch Film Filmproduktion, Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek, funded by: Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art.
